My why

I am here to serve

I used to want to climb the corporate ladder and have others see my greatness. Be more successful than the next.

Today, like the monkey god Hanuman to Lord Rama, I wish to live in service (seva) to the Divine. Oneness, not otherness. This is my dharma. And yours too.

I want to live in a way that is dharmic because doing so helps other to see that same light within themselves.

I believe this is how we raise the collective consciousness and ultimately break down the conditioning and constructs that constrict us.

I want to live aligned with the Divine light within me…the teacher of all teachers.

In seva (service), I will:

Embody the teachings

I open myself up to the Divine wisdom so that these ancient teachings may transcend my own manas (mind) lens and flow from me like a river wild. I commit to a lifetime of practice and study so that these teachings are first held deep within my heart before I transmit them to you. So that I always remember.

Love every being

I will always try to live as the Love that I am.
To see the Divine in everyone and love every living being as they deserved to be loved. I choose compassion, ahimsa (non-violence) and will try my best to live more congruently with the living, breathing world.

Honour my roots

I will do my best to honour those who have come before me: traditional custodians of the land + waters, my ancestors, my teachers, gods and goddesses and unwavering light Source that is me. I pay homage to those who have paved the way for my existence and who suffered for me. Those that help me to remember.

Get to know me

I hold sacred the roots of Yoga deep in the container of my heart.

I want you to feel that from me too.
